Laura went above and beyond to make the alterations on my 1940s vintage Nottingham lace wedding dress and also made the most beautiful veil. Going to her for my fittings was one of my very favourite parts of the run up to the wedding. Everyone commented on how beautiful the dress was and that was all thanks to Laura’s great work changing the shape to make it suit me and making it feel like it was made for me. "I decided to order my wedding dress one size down to what I was because I was losing weight. I lost 2 and a half stone but when I got my dress the zip didn't close and the beautiful buttons didn't fasten. I was absolutely devastated and went into bride panic mode.

My sister had recommended Laura. I felt so nervous knowing my dress didn't fit me and also leaving your dress with someone to have work done is very daunting. Laura is AMAZING, completely trustworthy, she always kept very calm giving me lots of ideas about how to get around the problem. I can't recommend Just Sew Perfect enough! Laura is so friendly and professional and honestly cares about how your dress looks as much as, if not more than, you do as a bride! Responses to my emails were always quick and her work is impeccable. I had major dress wobbles after my first fitting because I wasn't sure I had made the right decision but as soon as she unzipped the dress bag to show me the work she had done on it, I was smitten. Thank you so much for everything! As a plus size bride I was so worried about having a dress that would not only fit but flatter, and can honestly say my dress now looks like it was literally made for me! If you are in two minds about trusting someone with your wedding dress, don't worry, it will be in safe hands!

When choosing my wedding dress, I felt like I had to compromise on certain elements. On my first fitting with Laura, she showed me my perfect dress was possible after all! I pointed out parts of the dress I didn’t love and she, straight away, suggested what could be done to change them. She reconstructed the entire neckline to create the perfect sweetheart shape I wanted, she shortened the hem to the perfect length and she altered the entire shape to make it feel like a custom made dress. Laura immediately put me at ease and is so clearly very talented at what she does. I had no doubt my dress was in safe hands. I cannot recommend Laura enough!

Laura was nothing but helpful from the minute I got in touch. I had been told by another seamstress that it wasn't possible to add sleeves to my wedding dress but Laura said it absolutely could be done and she didn’t disappoint. My wedding dress is exactly how I wanted it to be and I can’t wait to wear it. The work is flawless and she was such a help even sourcing the additional fabric I needed. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Laura to anyone needing alterations and bespoke sewing services.
