Women's clothing alterations, restyling and repairs.

Caroline loves the dress but doesn't love wearing it because the snakeskin neckline is unfinished and looks a bit untidy.

Brief:

I made some bias binding and stitched it over the edges... a tricky job when sewing with this type of fabric... It looks like it's been there all along.

Solution:

Cherie found a dress she loved... from the front... but she hated the elasticated back.

Brief:

I removed the elasticated panel and replaced it with a structured, pleated back with side zip fastening.  The original, plain straps were then replaced with a cross-over pleated design.

Solution:

To modernise this out-dated jacket so it can be worn with it's matching shift dress on a cruise.

Brief:

I removed the collar and buttons and shaped the hem so it sits above the hip... much more flattering.
